Terms of Service

Effective July 28, 2026

These terms govern your use of the Ellie website, plan-preview quiz, waitlist, Founding Membership, and, when it launches, the Ellie app (the "Services"), operated by Ellie. By using the Services you agree to them.

1. Ellie is educational, not medical care

• Ellie is an educational companion built on published research, which it cites. It is not a medical device, and nothing in the Services creates a professional-patient relationship between you and Ellie or anyone who works on it.
• Ellie never recommends medication doses, intervals, or changes. It records the regimen you and your prescriber chose and models information about it. Every decision about your medication belongs with you and your licensed clinician. Do not start, stop, stretch, split, or change any medication based on anything in the Services.
• Plans, targets, and estimates in the Services (including protein targets, timelines, and medication-level estimates) are general educational starting points based on published research, not personalized prescriptions. Confirm them with your doctor or a registered dietitian, especially if you have any medical condition, are pregnant, or have a history of disordered eating.
• If any feature of the Services surfaces resources about disordered eating, those resources are informational. If you are struggling, please contact a qualified professional or a helpline such as the NEDA helpline.

2. Who may use the Services

You must be at least 18 and able to form a binding contract. The Services are not directed at children and may not be used by them.

3. Founding Membership

• The Founding Membership is a one-time purchase of $29, limited to 200 members.
• It includes your first year of the Ellie app from the day the app publicly launches, a locked renewal rate communicated before any renewal, first access at launch, and an optional founder call.
• It is an account-based membership attached to your email address. It is not an app-store purchase and app-store terms do not apply to it.
• Refunds: full refund, no questions, any time before the app publicly launches. Email support@metellusproductions.com. After launch, the first-year inclusion has begun and refunds follow section 4.
• If the app has not publicly launched within 12 months of your purchase, you are entitled to a full refund on request.

4. Subscriptions (when the app launches)

• App subscriptions will renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date, through the app store or account settings, whichever applies.
• Trial terms, prices, and renewal notices will be shown clearly before any charge.
• Except where the law requires otherwise, paid periods already started are not prorated on cancellation; your access continues to the end of the paid period.

5. Your content and data

You own the information you enter. You give us the limited license needed to operate the Services with it, as described in the Privacy Policy. Enter accurate information; the Services can only be as honest with you as you are with them.

6. Acceptable use

• No scraping, reverse engineering, or interfering with the Services.
• No using the Services to provide medical advice to others.
• If community features launch: no medical or dosing advice between members, no sourcing or vendor talk for any medication or compound, and no "you will fail" hostility. We remove content and accounts that break this.

7. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The Services are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. Estimates in the Services are estimates.

To the maximum extent the law allows, Ellie is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits or data. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Services is capped at the greater of $100 or the amounts you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

8. Disputes

If something goes wrong, email support@metellusproductions.com first; most issues are fixable in one reply. Unresolved disputes are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and the state or federal courts located in North Carolina have exclusive jurisdiction. You and Ellie each waive any right to a jury trial.

9. Changes

We may update these terms. If a change is material, we will email the address on file before it takes effect. Continued use after the effective date is acceptance.
